Small voices deserves to be heard

Children along with their parents from different cities of the National Capital region (NCR) marched along Mendiola, pulled out their placards and voice out their angst to be heard by the government, last Saturday Dec. 6, 2008.

The Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas, Gabriela, Salinlahi and Alliance for Children’s Concern didn’t mind the extreme heat of the sun and became aggressive to aim their primary goal of letting people know the true crisis were facing in our country. Secretary General Danny Santos was also present to the said march,

Prepared speeches about the Charter Change (CHACHA), violation of their human rights, lacking of jobs for the Filipino people, housing problems and the poor quality education hauled along the avenue.

Children also voiced out the difficulty of having a permanent home for their families and the lack of job of their parents. They joined the spirit of the rally and even stood in front to justify their small voices.
